Can't log in on my xbox account in steam deck

When the window pops out for me to put my info to log in, I tap the keyboard on my steamdeck but nothing appears and I can't login to play.

How do I login? I can't use an external keyboard. No matter what I press on the digital keyboard, nothing registers.

I had to tap on the text box several times before I could enter anything into it, otherwise nothing would be typed in.
