Won’t launch on the Steam deck

Is anyone able to play Gears 5 on the deck? I have tried playing with no compatibility to even proton 9.0-3 to GE 7-17.

im using steam OS on my Legion go and 9.0-3 works for myself, Multiplayer also works, Not sure why it aint working for you :(

because he's running Steam OS and not windows. This game runs on anti cheat. Steam OS have protons, but COG pretty said hell no to it.

I have played Horde before on steam deck and it worked just fine with the default proton version.
Have you tried verifying game files? Do you have the OLED model? sometimes that model has a specific issue with fullscreen games if they are not borderless

I just got Steam Deck OLED and it's working flawlessly out of the box, no tweaking at all. Straight medium settings = 50-60 fps
