it actually plays fine on my oled deck.no keyboard.just having issues with a good balance on performance settings.im very new to pc settings.been playing console my whole life so these settings are an enigma too me.gears 5 got a ton.any recommendations would be very helpful.seems theres a ton of OG deck research online but not very much for the oled model.

Anything you see for the LCD model should hold true for the OLED. There isn't a significant difference between the two in regard to performance. You may get a very slight FPS increase with the OLED but nothing Earth shattering. :sacrificed:

True I havnt seen much difference. Although there are quite a few games I don't need to force launch on OLED that I did or couldnt even start on LCD. That's been sweet. FPS though gives me anxiety. I'm not used to being able to adjust it manually so I find myself adjusting it often. I only owned the LCD model for about 3 months before I sold it and got the oled. I wasn't immediately impressed but I've come to like it alot when I finally find the right combination of settings for each game. It is tough if your not experienced though for sure lol

The Steam Deck is my first real experience with PC gaming. Check out Youtube videos and read some forums here and there and you'll gradually feel more comfortable with making adjustments to settings. Once you learn what all those technical terms mean, it gets really easy to know what settings will affect performance and which ones don't. Once I had the Deck, I decided to get rid of my Series S, because I couldn't deal with not having control over all the settings that are possible on PC games. Stick with it. You'll be a pro in no time!

Yeah, it runs fantastic. Multiplayer for me is a locked 60fps.

wow im literally living in the same chapter my guy. i stress over 4k and hdr with series s.i got sick of budget shopping tv after tv and never getting results i only dreamed of.finally broke ice and got a oled switch just desperate to try anything for a good price, switch, destroyed my thumbs and it sucked.finally gave in bumped up the budget and got a deck.im def happy with it.so much that i owned lcd for 3 months got a quick taste and i almost instantly had to see what 90fps could do on oled. the change is worth it but lcd was badass too lol

Yep, I actually got it to steady 60 fps and I keep turning various graphics settings to max here and there...fps still not budging lol. I just can't believe how good it looks while still playing so smooth.
