Gamepass x Steam Co-op?

Wanting to play this soon and I don't want to buy a second copy, Can I log into my steam on her pc and log in to gamepass on mine and play coop together?

It should work, but i don't think it will work if you're using the same Microsoft Account on steam version of Gears 5 and on Gamepass at the same time. At least on steam version of gears 5 you can switch to another Microsoft Account and still be able to play the game. I've tried co-op campaign a few times on here a while back and it sometimes gets buggy and has a hard time connecting or letting the game load/disconnect hopefully they have fixed this by now. It's funny cause you can actually still do Local Campaign co-op .

I'm thinking that if I family share the game to her, then she can install it from my library, but steam will see it as HER copy and let her login with her MS account. Then I close steam and launch the game through gamepass, that may get around the MS account issue? Thanks for the reply BTW!

Oddly enough, this one isn't on the list of excluded games.
