Gears of War 1, 2, and 3 need to be Remastered
I'm sure that this has been said a million times but those 3 games are classics, maybe I'm just old now but 4 and 5 just don't hit the same. I miss those games and I would even take just a PC Port to steam at this point.

Just need a PC port, no remaster required.

I hate 4 and 5. Its full of forced drama. A boring story. And badly written characters.
I had more fun playing 1, 2, 3 and Judgement on emulator.

The Gears of War remaster is on PC through the Microsoft Store, but it's supposedly still broken after a update that was never fixed years ago. I'd love for Gears of War 3 to hit PC, with all of the DLC including the exclusive ones. (Gold, Flame, Developer, Pre-order, green liquid, etc.) :gearsredomen:

Oh yes it does - Gears of War 2 is 14 years old and the graphics do NOT hold up well today.

Gears of War 1 non-Ultimate holds up very well, nearly everything that came out during and after the HD era does, also graphics don't matter that much.
Ultimate Edition is literally completely busted bc its big modern tech is already deprecated just after a few years of system updates meanwhile og still going strong after so many years with no incompatibilities, even online works better on it. Newer isn't always better, infact its often worse.

Look - the modern tech might already be a little deprecated, but it's far better than the original game. Graphics do actually matter. A lot of people played it on the original Xbox 360 14 years ago, so the only thing that's going to make people want to BUY and play them again is a very nice new lick of paint and some updated visuals... and some better controls.

Also, usually remasters address issues like incompatibilities with newer OS systems. I know Microsoft pretty much buggered up the GoW 1 with their last update, but if they're interested in regaining the Gears community - they'll need to do a decent job of enticing them back - better control system, nicer graphics, having the games taking advantage of multiple cores etc... asynchronous computer.

There's a reason people are still buying Crysis Remastered, Uncharted 4 remastered (PS5 version), CoD: MW remastered... and the only real difference is their visuals.

Many would be happy to play the originals for the first time, depending on the game I often prefer the visual style of that era which is lost in remasters too. Obviously I'll take a good remaster too im just saying it doesn't matter to much to me,if they dont wanna put in the work I'd pick up the ogs for a fair price.
I wouldn't even mind if they released their 360 emulator on PC, modern Xbox is nearly a PC anyways, wouldn't be difficult, sure a nice PC port is preferable but for the many games stuck in licensing or just not giving a ♥♥♥♥ hell of their publishers I take being able to play at all over nothing which is what we currently have.

I hate remasters. All about looks! I just want the game how it was, unless it looks like Elder Scrolls 2... then a remaster would be pretty nice.

Same, overwhelming majority of the time games are fine just as they were.

Okay - first of all, Goggled banana has just proven my point when he typed:

You've just admitted that if the graphics are bad enough, then a new graphical coat of paint would be nice.

No offense, but Gear 1 is definitely starting to show its age...

...not only that but the colour palette has that terrible yellow-gray filter over pretty much every environment. The textures are heavily compressed and given that a lot of people are on 1440p and even 4K these days, it doesn't hold up well at that resolution.

Same with the TV's. They're getting bigger as well, and even if you can/could get XBox 360 (don't know if they still work with the newer TV's) working on the newer TV's, TV's have gotten a lot larger since 2008, so the game being shown on a bigger screen just makes its graphical weaknesses even more evident.

Gears 1 was already remastered, I agree with you here. But Gears of War 2 and 3 look just fine, all they need is to be updated to work with modern hardware, they don't need an entire remaster.

I don't know how to say this but I don't like what they did with Gears 1 remaster, it doesn't fit the feel the original had. I think it would've been far better if they just upped it ABIT not to where it tries and looking realistic.
Resident Evil 1 remaster fits this perfectly for what I'm trying to say. The game looks horrible! But the remaster made it look good and kept the vibe it had.

So I'm agreeing with you to an extent. Sorry for any typos or if I'm coming off iffy, I'm exhausted while typing this.

Edit: I know RE1 is just a demo rn but it looks better than the UE demo did.
