why the ♥♥♥♥ is this game so big?

lol it has less detailed then older games and i can understand the hate for the story did end at Gears of War 3

Nah. its cuz microsoft doesnt care about PC optimization or compression.

This game is almost as big as RDR2 and RDR2 is x100 times bigger than this game.

Gears 4 didn't become a bigass download until you opted for higher detail textures, then it would download enough to be just slightly smaller than what Gears 5 is now.

Its because they keep adding more and more to the game over time, like maps, skins, events, etc, but none of the older stuff ever seems to get deleted when its gone, so it just keeps getting bigger. Gears 4 did the same thing. I think by the end, Gears 4 was like 150gb on my PC.

I mean, its a pain in the ass, but with the amount of free content they keep adding to the game, I am not gonna complain too much about file size.

dude i look what the DLC take of place, it's only 20GB for higher detail textures what itself almost as much as Gears of War 1

It's a good manageable size for a game that has AAA campaign, 3 mp modes and 3 years worth of skins. Gears 4 was way bigger.

The Coalition can make the game look pretty but it lacks all the smaller details that the older games had. I am kind of worried if they do remake the old games that they will get rid of all those details. Gears tactics is fun though.
