Shotgun is strong in G5, but honestly you can still do alot with the Lancer and the Snub. You just need to know the situation to feel what's more viable
So basicly the lucky guy who finds a shotgun gets to win instead of the better skilled one? Nah pass on that.
Shotguns just need a nerf. There's no skill in not aiming and just letting RNG take the wheel as you mindlessly spam LMB while keeping your target somewhere in the center of your screen. Maybe there should be more spread for shotguns if you're not aiming it? Requiring people to actually put a crosshair on their enemy?
shotguns needs a nerf??? shotguns have been meta since gears 1 and shotguns 1v1 is what makes gears mp the real true gears expierience.
If there's little reason to use the other weapons, why even have the other weapons in the first place?
Game is movement and gnasher heavy. Snub and Lancer are support weapons but can easily be used to punish people pushing
A girl can dream
Shotgun shooting in gears is pretty much done with no aiming. If ever anyone uses aim its just a quick pop shot.. for the most part its all about movement and blindfiring when you know the opponent is in the middle of your screen to get a good hit on them....
It might be a steep learning curve but that is the meta as Terry said above. It has been such since the first game. Power weapons like sniper, boom, torque bow are also useful if you know how to use them....
