PC Voice chat

Is it real? i got no emblem showing im talking when i push my push to talk button. The setting show VC is on and so is PTT. My computer recognizes that Gears is using my mic. still, i cant hear or talk to anyone. any ideas? google gives me nothing.

i have the same problem. only way to communicate is thru 3rd party means like discord or using xbox party chat

The icon doesn't show up locally, but people can definitely hear me. I can also hear Xbox players as well and talk to them, even with no icon showing.

I can hear and see people talking, but my brother who is in the same match can't. Must be another sever bug or something.

headphones needs to be set to 16 bit, 48000Hz and mic set to 2 channel, 24 bit, 48000hz.
otherwise, you won't be able to use voice chat.

That's not true, voice chat works there's just no symbol to show that it's being used

I still cannot hear nor be heard while in Gears 5 on windows 10. My wife uses the Xbox One and has no issues hearing others in multiplayer matches.

My issue turned out to be my NAT i think. XXBLA thinks im a moderate type, and i think that makes it so i can talk to people, but cant hear anyone else. try checking it.

Found out that if I disable the Xbox Game Bar on the PC that the Voice chat is now working in game for Gears 5.

I was beating my head trying to get our AT&T router to work properly / get the NAT off Moderate. Still on Moderate though hearing myself through other peoples speakers and talking to others in game VC. I think the issue may lie within the Xbox Game Bar, do you have this on your PC? try disabling it

I will next time i pick the game up. a little upset the steam version is getting no support and is feature incomplete and that i cant get a refund, so it makes me not want to play. thanks for the idea.

All I know is that I never hear anyone talk in-game when I know they have. My friend can hear them and I can't. Same headphones and windows 10 on both of our computers.
