instead of using the headset to usb dongle i went straight into the headphone jack. sucks but it works
You can resolve this issue by changing the sample rate to 48 kHz.
First, open the Sound Settings windows and open a new window by clicking the left button on the Sound Control Panel.
Once the new window is opened select the current audio device and left-click on it.
Next, open the Speaker Properties left clicking on the properties and left-click the Advanced tab.
I'm on 48kHz atm, still having the issue. This may not have resolved my problem but I encourage others to try the same. I play on 48 native so I didn't have to change anything. I also tried on others to no avail.
Plugging my headset into my onboard audio works, however it's such a downgrade in sound quality from my Astro Mixamp that I wouldn't want to play it this way. I've never had this issue before with my Mixamp, so hopefully it gets fixed soon.
all be it temporary . i installed an equilizer for my pc like DFX Audio Enhancer and ran it before i launched the game and it worked. but if you disable the enhancer you will return to no sound until you relaunch the game...
