Gears 5 if the best in series, 1 2 or 3 are getting insanely overrated

Gears 5 is the best so far, most in depth storyline and longest campgain ,gorgeous visuals, combat , soundtrack and the most complex characters, what it differs is the emotional impact, while Gears was brutal,funny and shockig it never had such an impact as Latest gear.

And take your negativity to xbox forums or buy an xbox and re play all gears 1-judgement, I personally love new generation of gears, it never greater , You are too attached to fenix, locust and old story, get rid of it or find a new game.

Also some players are acting as fools, one guy placed Gears 3 over 5 mainly because of having double barreled shotgun, which is purely stupid can judge one game of having a weapon, dear me.

Is community getting dull by each year ?

nothing beats a wall bouncing shotgun battle from gears 1 but you wouldnt have a clue about that would you lmao this game is mexican trash fire with nothing entertaining about it

People just have a hard time letting go of older games in a franchise.

I don't really know what they want: the first 3 games work fine as a complete story.
So if they don't want, or like the continuation of the games, why can't they just ignore it as though the franchise ended so people who do like the new ones, can simply like the new ones.

I prefer the first 3 games, doesn't mean I'm going start bashing this one.

Better or worse: Its just an opinion, but narrow minded people all over steam confuse them as fact.

Unfortunately community is narrove minded because they are accusing me of never playing gears i have played every single game even Judgement at the time of the relase Gears 1 , 2 , 3 , Judgement 4 and now 5, Idiots.

I have explianed why is the case, You cannot drago Locust horde invasion for eternity and Fenix is now far too old. Accept new Gears and GET OUT!

Curufinwe] I agree with most of what you are saying.. I just spend 5,5 hours watching a Gears 4 playthrough, most story cutscenes, and important gameplay, all unnessessary gameplay was cut out. And it was fantastic. I really enjoyed the story and the characters a lot.. I had more fun watching this, than playing through gears 1 and 2 (which I did back in the day).
By the look of it, yes, Gears 5 looks like so much more fun than the older gears games..

Although, I'm getting really tired of AAA games these days, they are all the same. It's busy work. Constantly interrupting gameplay with cutscene, talk, or tutorial bullsh...t.. Playing through the new God of War, was a nightmare, and I was not having fun at all...

I truly honestly believe 3 is the best one, longest story, tons of enemy variations... like a lot of variations, you never knew what was coming around the corner... game was very fun with an Carmine that finally survived.

I dunno man. I prefered the multiplayer in GoW3 by a longshot.

1,2,3 here. I played 3 the most pvp, I also liked how the unlocks were in 3 where you could get weapon skins and new characters by earning achievements or medals or progressing through certain parts of the game. Not the case in 5 to my knowledge after 25 hours of play. Gears 3 was supposed to be the last and final chapter according to Cliffy B when he was at Epic in 2010. They carried it on when he left if I remember this correctly. Never played Judgement or 4.

Gears 5 is an okay game. Not great because the gun combat just feels weak. You have little incentive to pick up any other weapon than the standard assault rifle and then some secondary. For range you can just use Boltok pistol rather than Mk1 because Boltok is more powerful.

4 was also just an okay game.

Have no issues with the story in both of those games or the characters. They all are rather likable.
