Why so much hate for the game ?

This game is literally $2 if you get the xbox pass, and the story is depressing because it's a gears of war game omfg. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Don't complain on the steam forums because of stupid issues like that.

Story sucks? I thought the story was pretty good. Easily better than the story in Gears 1-4. All the bugs going on right now suck. I collected a lot more collectibles than what the game recorded.

Because people did not comprehend the idea between official launch and early release. Early release sucked because most of players are using NVIDIA. NVIDIA drivers are not out yet. Lack of patience among those scum players are common I assume.

Moreover, Thanks to microsoft and steam , this game is affordable in every region. For me, original price was $28 Cad for Ultimate Edition which is crazy. Game is super fun

i dont know about Gears 5 yet but campaign in gear 4 was bad and by the videos i have seen gears 5 looks like a same trash... mostly because of mediocre enemies, boring characters and bad story compare to GeoW 1-3.

What was revealed that wasn't already known? There wasn't anything new revealed. Plus being stuck with a couple of boring characters for the majority didn't help anything. The open world was also super lacking. There was nothing to do.

How did you anyone not know where Kait's story was going to go and the characters acting super shocked at the revelations was really poorly done. Plus another cliffhanger ending.

It's so funny how everyone talked about her "connection" and it was apparently "important", but she gets rid of it less than halfway through the game and from then on it's just a slog to get the rocket in space.

The story was terrible and they tried to cram everything in the last 2 chapters of the game. Maybe if they ditched the empty open world trash they could have added more to the story

Game doesn't work properly, random drops you in online co-op. Not worth $7 for PC version of game pass. Developers were unprepared and it shows, constant updates from the developers that claim they fixed this or that, but disconnect issues are still present.

Aside from the server issues, game has a number of bugs and feels rushed and unpolished, more like eye candy and style over substance.

I thought the story regarding New Hope & Kadar was fascinating. Lots of new details that simply weren't known before.

This is probably my favourite Gears campaign now.

this is the worst gears game i think ever released, gears of war 4 was a great game but this one literally is just a reskin of 4 with a lazy new attempt at a original game mode. i cant stand the terrible launch as well. not getting things people paid money for and the huge amount of disconnects and bugs makes me wish i never bought this game
