Gears have terrible toxic community, coming from Gears 4

TLDR - if you are new to the game you will get called names, kicked or everyone will leave on the easyest possible dificultiy.



In anticipation for Gears 5 I decided to get into Gears 4 ... boy what a mistake.

First I played the campaign solo. That was fun. After I finished it I tried to get up the dificulty and try co op. Got into two games and since I was lvl 1 I was eighter kicked or people just plain leave I was called names and such in the chat. And I was playing only one dificulty level above Normal ... I would understand if it was the highest possible dificulty but c'mon ... tried a few times without sucsess and decided that I would just stop trying.

Then I thought hey lets try Horde ... a second mistake. Of course I went for the easyest possible dificulty where the game itself say it was for beginners. First match I got with some 99 lvl people that just leave, second match - everyone leaves, third, fourth, fifth ... no one wanted to play since I was lvl 1 ... on a dificulty where you don't lose when you die - you start from the wave you died on ... I was called noob and whatnot in the chat. There was not a single soul that was willing to show a new player the ropes on the easyest dificulty ... not - a - single - one for about an hour of trying.

Needless to say I played horde mod solo and if Gears 4 was the last game I would never touch it again due to the sheer toxicity of the community, I would go back to KF2 or Payday 2 or Vermintide 2, or The Division 2 ... other co op games with waaaay and I mean WAY BETTER community.

I am really happy I got the Ultimate eddition of Gears 5 so that I can be on par and will probably have people to play with, since untill 9th when the standard eddition hits the new players will have no one to play with ...

Oh god... pub horde. Dude, the amount of quitters you run into pubbing is insane. I'd show you the ropes sometime if you'd like, did help out a few newbies last time I played some pub horde.
Even in ranked PvP I run into more quitters than I'd like... ruined more than a few matches that were going good for us a first...

Don't try to tell me that those games you named are any better because I guarantee you that they are just as toxic as your presumption of Gears 5.

most games are like this, buy the game and get friends, always work, not playing most of MP games because of quitters, is not the answer
also for being newbie, whats bad being newbie
everyone start newbie, most of those who pass newbie, start playing another game
you may start Gears 5 in 2020 as newbie but you may have more record hour than 50% of community that bought day one
