Is GameData_20 folder dedicated to CM3D2 contents only?
Interesting. I didn't notice this. Might have to backup the folders and do some trial&error runs.
You got a really decent game library btw, and hi, paradox player:)
IMPORTANT!
don't copy: csv.arc, language.arc, motion.arc, parts.arc, products.arc, script.arc, system.arc, voice.arc and paths.dat. If you do, you will overwrite important system file of the game.
Yes and no, i have put cm3d2 dance files in "gamedata" and they work fine. But if i put those file in "gamedata20" they don't work anymore :/
0) Have a proper install of CM3D2
1) Download the Japanese Update: https://com3d2.jp/update/ (com3d2_upXXX.zip)
2) Only take COM3D2.exe and move it to the other COM3D2.exe. Do not overwrite but let it be renamed to COM3D2(2).exe
3) Open COM3D2(2).exe and click the top most left icon with the 4 moon runes
4) Above VR and below the simple moonrunes(which just reads Interneto), you see the other sole understandable scrap: 3D2 click the left button and navigate to your CM3D2 folder where the CM3D2.exe is
5) Done~
Omake:
For three Personalities, download com3d2plg_old.zip and install
Obviously any CM3D2 content will still be in Japanese but at least for the UI the AutoTranslate Plugin is handy
Regarding any Japanese COM3D2 content:
You will have to merge the English version with the Japanese one lest at least in case of scripts you will be ducked. Other bugs may also occur.
If you don't want to make it yourself, you can DL it here:

I made it with the last update (1.33.1)
Sorry for my English
Sorry for late reply, work has been mad busy. Yeah I know I put them in the right folder (GameData_20), but I know what caused the problem now, I had the bright idea of doing the same with the files from the JP version of COM3D2 which caused the issue. I reinstalled the game and this time did as you said without any more "bright" ideas and this time I can see the items available in game, however now when I select one of the added items I get a bunch of errors (hair_(some number).model Object reference not set to instance of an object) and then the game crashes. What am I doing wrong this time? Sorry for being clueless, I'm pretty new to these games and still learning.
Since I’m having a journey I can only tell it with my memory. I have the same problems in the beginning, items showing up but crashed the game the clicking. Then I found out it’s because I didn’t copy every files in GameData (CM3D2) to GameData_20(I was thought it only need files with “dlc” in their name, but it’s wrong)
I fix this just by copying every files (as mentioned in guide, without those start with voice_) and drop them in GameData_20,
so make sure you copied every files.
That’s what I can say....this error probably causes by some files missing.
This suggestion is quite unhelpful since it’s just repeating the guide, maybe you can try to install BepinEX...... I have no other idea now......may do some test when back home
It's weird, I do exactly as your guide says and still have the same issue.. but it can wait, thank you for taking the time to check up on this while traveling, I appreciate it. Take your time and enjoy your trip ,we'll figure it out later :)
