The creatormaps are either incredibly simple and boring or frustratingly difficult to unplayable. There is no balancing to speak of and visually they are also rather simple and poor in detail.
I hope the developers realize their mistake and shorten the current season to add decent maps, start a new season and end this unsatisfactory situation.
I had the same reaction first time I played. Definitely lacks the charm that previous themed seasons brought. It feels empty. While the quantity of new maps is increased , they all feel more or less the same with rearranging of obstacles. Despite the botched theme, I believe they are headed in the right direction with adding the map creator, and adding multiple shorter "fame passes". Next fame pass is already less than a month away! These two alone will hopefully get more players back in. The thing I don't understand is why they don't unvault many of the older maps and have a larger pool of maps to draw from. Some of the best maps this game has to offer are from previous seasons. Tired of playing the same maps over and over.
for anyone feeling like the obstacles are simple: not always, but generally yeah some levels do feel like that. again, build limit could really push things forward with making levels feel bigger and have more ground probably.
other than that, creative would be nice if it was fully-featured, but as it stands, not exactly:
-There's no special show that lets you discover creative rounds made-this-week or anything like that. (you gotta input a level code, or use the Creator Playlist show, which seem to only be official levels right now and maybe later only handpicked by the team and/or only gives you the most popular levels)
-Still no rating system for creative rounds.
-Some obstacles are still missing for creative.
Even though some leaks indicate these are all things that are being worked on, the fact that they're missing on release IS quite a bummer and I feel like that's why I'm not all that hyped with the creative mode right now.
bye bye Fall Guys
Completely agree! I often do "dailies" fairly quickly (like in 20 minutes) and i close the game. The maps are really boring.
"Quality" is much much more than "quantity". Previous seasons were better.
I didn't think this season could be worse than the last one, but they managed to do it.

Creators Playlist 2 is, however, way better and more fun that the first one. It feels like map creators are finally figuring out how to make proper maps that are not just barebones copies of already existing levels.
The battle pass is shorter, thank GOD. 100 skin levels + 100 crown shard levels was just way too much even for me. 40+80 is way easier. But, it's just 40 levels of real rewards and 80 levels of crown shards. Those were always just something extra. Sure, the pass used to be way more grindy, but this just feels like they made it deliberately much shorter because people were complaining about how long it was. They went from an extreme to another extreme- it's just way too short. I played only about 5-6 hours, and I'm on level 32 already. Normally it'd take me about a month to get to this point in the past.
As for the challenges, they are more generous with XP, which would be a good thing if the battle pass was as long as it was in the last season. Plus, there are no seasonal challenges, which just tells me that they didn't really have a thing for this season besides the level editor gimmick. This season it is probably going to take me only about a month to fully complete the battle pass, which is a shame, since it took me about three months in the last season.
Also, they had been more generous with the coins, and we have at least a little bit better coin skins. I get why they went FtP and have us pay with money for skins, they need to eat and they need finances to keep the game running. Still, if they are going to give us new skins every few days, split up the Legacy skins and the new skins. Let players buy the Legacy skins for coins, and new skins for SBs. I am still mad that I missed out on the Portal skins in the original.
The problem with EGS Fall Guys is that the creators quite frankly stopped caring about what the community wants, and care more about what suits them, that being new skins and creative. It's nice to introduce creative, sure, let people create their own maps, but they are putting the entire weight of the new season on the players.
Also, there were a lot of stupid decisions made in the last season in terms of level design. Reverting all the map designs in S3 was straight up stupid, as it was the changes introduced in S2 that made the old maps so great. During the last season, these maps just felt like they were downgraded but also had their glitches fixed, which is nice for sure, but the maps feel very barebone.
This change from last season with the added player created maps that have a very barebone graphical design, as well as a very barebone level design (in most cases) makes this season just feel really empty.
The cheater issues from S2 and from Legacy were largely resolved, as I haven't encountered any hackers since the end of S2. However, the cheater problems were replaced by connection issues. This season just runs like absolute ♥♥♥♥. I have 40MB down/17MB up with 5 ping, how are more than half of my rounds having connection issues? How am I constantly getting queue connection looping (when you join any queue, you can sit there for like 20 minutes just connecting to a server)? How is it possible that we have smaller lobbies, but we also now have connection issues? Did they seriously forget to update the networking of this game for the last two seasons? Seriously, this is an issue that started in S3 for me.
I am very worried for this game, because it's starting to go in a direction that The Division 2 went in before everything went to ♥♥♥♥. The devs are just focusing on what they want, and not listening to the players and their complaints. They are focusing on skins and creative, with the rest of the content just being an afterthought. Do they not have enough devs? Are their devs more focusing on skins, are they focusing on Creative, or are they focusing on making S5 the best season ever and S4 is here to just buy them some time, OR WHAT?
I've been playing this game since Legacy S2. And let me tell you, this is, by far, the most boring, most unimaginative, most lacking in content season in the entire history. It somehow feels rushed out even tho it was delayed by about a month.
We just need to get through this season as fast as possible, and hope that the next one will be better. S3 Sunken Secrets was mid tier at it's very best.
