For the second clip...yea, that might be something that needs to be tweaked.

I see. Reason I didn't pick up the bolt cutters was I convinced myself it was one of those trick death sequences lol.
The thing is, in the death sequence Daniel is just trying to turn a door knob and then he is killed, there is really no feedback for the player on what you did wrong. If the door had chains on it then I'd be like "ooooh I needed those bolt cutters!".
As it is right now, I would have restarted the episode and died here again.

As Mikfail says, you need the pair of sheers. The loading screen after the death gives you a hint, but the image that we're showing there is wrong. We'll include the correct image in the next patch trying to give you a better hint. You don't need to restart the chapter, the game is prepared for that situation :)
About the second problem, it's definitely a bug that will be resolved in our next patch. I'm so sorry for you and for Omar, he's a good guy :(
