Luckily I don't believe there is an achievement for completing the Chapter with Sophie, at least not that I could find.
Also, yeah you were lucky Sophie's ghost was friendly. This is a feature called the Revenants. Dead characters can come back to life as a ghost, and can either give you their personal item or kill your character. When they are a hostile ghost, they'll either have hopeless voicelines, (Sophie says that she gives up), dismissive voicelines (Erica blames her dad for 'what happened') or things that don't make sense with the character (Alina will say that Jesus was the true savior, even though she worships the earth or something)
If they are friendly though, they will be hopeful, or calling out to their loved ones for help.
