Uninstalling thanks to heartbeat game

That's it, I'm done with this game. All because of the stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ heartbeat game. Lost everyone on chapter 1, wasting 3 hours of my life and only cleared my 2nd attempt because I was lucky enough to get the heartbeat game only twice (losing 2 characters of course).
Now chapter 2, I have just lost my 3rd character of course to the heartbeat game and I am dreading to send in my last character because now I'm just one heartbeat away from losing another 3 hours of progress.

Press LT+RT when you hear the heartbeat and the white border reaches the center, it says. I do that, and everytime the heartbeat just speeds up. Sometimes it slows down and I think I'll make it but then it dramatically speeds up again then I lose. I tried using the space bar, as was suggested in other posts, but it didn't help. I tried switching from bluetooth to wired because it might have been lag, again no help. Tried a different controller, and again no succes. I tried turning down the difficulty to the 2nd easiest difficulty level and still died to the first heartbeat game I ran into. The minigame has clearly not been extensively playtested and from what I am seeing I'm definitely not the only one who has issues with it.

Dude, it isn't that hard. I literally do it blind. When you hear the heartbeat press LT+RT. I have no idea how you can possibly struggle with this lol. I've never failed and I have almost 100 hours. Don't blame the game and say it wasn't playtested when you're just bad.

This is uhh, not a game problem. Just practice, man.

I couldn't do it good for the longest also and I got better once I got a hang of the rhythm. I want to be nice to you because I know you're just ranting but seriously, get better and progress. It's a great game.

I haven't had any issues with this, and it's honestly much easier than some of the subsequent pressure sensitive minigames.

This is leading me to think that perhaps some people have either overly sensitive controller triggers, or something is up with how the game is detecting these inputs, as the minigame is on the lower spectrum of easy.

My only gripe with the game are some of the instakill sequences, which makes you want to not really explore things that are even remotely strange or suspicious. Otherwise, it's been a good ride so far.

Well, if you unistall because you cant manage to do it right its ok, I mean its your money, nobody gonna judge you for quitting.

the minigame is boring, but it works like a charm, I never died from it.

In fact I barely died in this game compared to others S Horror at all and ended with all chars lol

yeah im really struggling with this too. playing on a wireless xbox controller. gonna give the spacebar a shot and see if that works better. if not i guess ill have to drop this game too.

the heartbeat minigame is only super hard in hp lovecraft difficult like almost impossible i always die in that minigame but in another difficult is not that hard you can always save yourself

Im also uninstalling the game as the qtes are borked and cant get past them. And yes doing what I'm supposed to do but the qtes (on my system) seem to go out of sync, especially the heartbeat one.

In such cases you could restart the chapter in the lowest difficulty setting (ETA Hoffmann). The QTE's are very easy in these setting. A pity to throw away the game because it's very good.

I too quit and uninstalled the game due to the heartbeat qte and I am playing on the lowest difficulty. they either need an option to remove the qtes and/or fix them. Because with the heartbeat qte, at least on my system, once a second round hits, it goes completely out of sync and never able to catch back up again.

Occam's Razor says that a few people not being very good at rhythm games is a more probable occurrence than there being a super obscure, non-reproduceable bug, but anything could happen I guess.

I've played a lot of rhythm games in my life and have always done well with them. In this game though the inputs seem to be out of sync or something, at least on some systems as I'm clearly not the only person who has issues with it. Honestly I wouldn't have such a huge problem with it if it wasn't for the permadeath system, I've wasted like 6 hours because the game is botched and doing everything all over again is just too boring.

rythme games usually are casual friendly in a sense that everything is easy to follow and vivid to know when to do it.

Played the game long ago but...
The heartbeat minigame has 3 things that you need to take care of and beware: The sound, the visuals, and the changing rythme. The tempo changes and react on how you doing, and how the enemy bewares on top of it. The rythme changes constantly depending on those factors and you need to constanly follow the flow with it while the clearly show you when you do bad. This is not Osu spam.

I never died from that minigame, and I played the game max dif since day 1; Even finish the game with no death. Lots of people did the same, too.

The minigame is boring as hell tho, its true. But the game has worse minigames than this one...

what kind of controller are you using ? i was using ps4's and never had any problem in any minigame. i didn't think that you could fail in them.
