Game does not launch
Whenever I try to start up the game, Steam shows the launching game pop-up for a fraction of a second, closes, and then the game goes back to being able to be launched again. I am currently running the game on a Windows 10 gaming laptop with a NVIDIA GeForce 3050 Laptop GPU. I have tried several different steps, such as reinstalling the game, verifying game files, updating graphics drivers, running the .exe file as an Administrator... Nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any suggestions?

If your computer has a recent Intel processor, it could be an issue with Unreal Engine games. I followed this GOG article and it fixed my similar issue in 3 of my games: https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019775837?product=gog

Para que arranque tienes que añadir una variable de entorno de windows con los valores:
-Name --> OPENSSL_ia32cap -Value --> ~0x20000000

Worked for me too.

Also, please note that despite what the guide says, on Windows 11 there is no need to restart the computer.
Didn’t work for me
I can confirm that it just works™

Thank you for helping out here.

Try and see if you exactly put the right values in, without extra space at the end.

And in the fields, paste these values:
Variable Name:
OPENSSL_ia32cap

Variable value:
~0x20000000
