Personal items and light sources?
Anybody know exactly what each personal item does? i.e. notebook and handheld radio from episode one. And i am assuming the light sources are mostly cosmetic or candles and lighters give more of an AOE effect and the flashlights give you a more focused light. (like irl)

Not sure if it's just very rare for everyone but as Daniel he seems to run into rooms that shouldn't be there in the map. Like padded cell rooms instead of the normal corridor.
But again, could just be a rare event I've coincidentally only gotten as Daniel.

Do wonder what Coltar's Wisdom Tooth does though.

I did a full no-death playthrough as Rene and had this happen to me. So it's not Daniel exclusive.

Rene ends up shooting you with the gun if he dies/goes crazy and you play as another character. That ♥♥♥♥ surprised me lol.

Can confirm that Alexander's hip flask calmed the character down immediately after player manually use that item. Though it's one time only item and I didn't know if you can refill the flask, so I basically not using it anyway.

By the way, Alexander will refuse to use the flask if he is still very calm.

Just played as Sophie in episode one, I can confirm that random harmless paranormal activity STILL occurred when Sophie stay close to the scented candles she placed, and seems no noticeable effect to calm down Sophie when standing right next to it.

But, I do noticed that I only get attacked once during the playthrough, and the place I being attacked is not where I placed the scented candles (the three places I put them are "the corridor in front of the front door", "corridor in front of the stair case", and "the room where Daniel entered the impossible door"). So I guess this item prevent dangerous event from happening when you stay in the room/section where the scented candles being placed. If that's true then it's really a good item to utilize (like placed it in the places where the character need to pass by multiple times during the playthrough, or places far from the hiding spot).

I will keep testing my theory in episode two.

Judging from some of your post, you seemed to enjoy playing the game. Really hope you may someday decide to support the game & devs further by purchasing. It can lead to a greater impact in development for Song of Horror & a future title.

We need more games like this!

is there anyway to avoid getting shot if you get the cop killed? it all happened instantly x.x

I'd imagine just walking back out when you hear the gun click would make him go away
*He'll probably still lurk around the level forever until you restart or complete it though

I have tested it.. if you hear Rene crying, that means he is in the room. What you have to do is simply just leave the room and then come back and he will disapear. :)

Just realized that Etienne's folder will take effect on the map when player entered a new area and have not picked up the key items in there.

Funny thing about this is that it even works when player didn't walk near the key item.
