Okay, well if you can avoid strange 3rd Party DRM and Anti Cheat is not necessary for a single player game obviously :D I think it will be very likely playable with Proton :)

Thank you for your answer.

Count me in for a purchase if a Linux version were made.

I just managed to fix the video playback issue and therefore having the game start properly under Linux Mint through Proton with the Media Foundation workaround. I didn't play much, but so far everything worked fine.

The shadows of the player character unfortunately have graphical glitches. In some situation they are barely visible, in others they are massive.

I have now also fixed the shadow issues by installing the package "mesa-vulkan drivers", so as far as I can tell Song of Horror works now perfectly fine for me under Linux now.
If you are using mesa drivers with an AMD graphics card, you probably have this package already installed. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to to start any Vulkan games or games running through Proton.
I currently use AMDGPU-PRO drivers and with them this package isn't needed, but it did actually fix similar graphical issues in three Unreal4 games for me (+once totally different graphical issues in a beta version).

With Nvidia it will probably be a totally different matter.
