Low end PC
Hey!

Has anyone tried to play this with 2gb video RAM? I have a PC that doesn't meet the minimum requirements, but I have been surprised before. I just think that VRAM 2gb might not suffice.

My ancient rig:
Intel Xeon W3580 @3.33 (4 core, 8 threads)
8gb RAM
AMD Radeon HD7870 2gb

I have XBOX Game Pass for PC, so I won't lose anything if I want to try this game, but I prefer not to download it, if it's a lost cause. Thanks in advance!

My rig only has 2gb of video ram, 8 GB of RAM.

Processor is only a 2.6 GHz 4 cpu
AMD Radeon Vegas 3 graphics with 5gb of total memory but only 2gb of VRAM.

I obviously can't play at full graphics smoothly (though it will play, just be really choppy and slow to react to my clicks), but if I play it on low with shadows turned off, it runs really smoothly.

With shadows off it changes the look a lot, but to run that smoothly it's worth it, and it just feels like playing an older DND game like Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter nights.

I have 2GB VRAM as well and I think you only have to turn off Ambient Occlusion and shadows and it plays fine.

That sounds promising then! Thanks guys! I don't mind playing with lower reso & settings, so it might work. Will download and test it today.

When I first purchased this game I was playing it on a $500 laptop with integrated graphics and 8GB of RAM. There where places and instances where the game became jerky graphically, interestingly though it still occurs in the same places on a mid tier desktop.

Damn, thats weird. I will try it today, will post how it goes. I just hope it doesn't fry my CPU/GPU. I use MSI Afterburner anyways and cap it to 30 fps, so that might help with low settings/resolution.

Bread and butter, bread and butter my friends! :magicstarfish: If you are running i5-2500k and GTX 660-670 or similar, it works on 1440x900 with low settings.

Edit. Cap FPS to 30 FPS with MSI Afterburner/RTSS or similar

You will run into trouble with encounters with large amounts of creatures. The more creatures the more processing power needed. When it reaches 7 plus creatures in an encounter, the game will become hard with low end machines. There will be problems with casting spells.

I am on the lava lake and fighting 11 elementals. The machine is very slow because of the very large mob. Sometimes you have to reset your spell focus to get the spells to work.

As long as you got the shadows and ambient ♥♥♥♥ off you'll be fine. I went through the whole game with no problems
