I think it is more to do with TA low budget than not wanting to do so. They can't hire someone to revamp the story to be good since it would cost more to do so which is why the story in this game still sucks.
I disagree. It has nothing to do with story line, the games very nature precludes adding any kind of romance option. You have no NPC party members. There is no single hero you are responsible for, saddled with having to choose to play with a bunch of pre-defined side kicks. This greatly limits the potential for intra-party romance. You are the entire party, there is no main character, so there is no central character to romance.
So if they did add a romance option it would be like masturba......
Oh, now i understand what all those BG3 simps are doing while they play.
You seem to assume too much. Guess you think of the same thing about the people that played the witcher or other games that did the same.
