I think VR is much more closely attuned to RT

It really isn't that attractive for isometric games. Maybe if a game has a first person view where the player could look around during their turn, even then there would be the issue of what are the other players in co-op looking at.

Yeah, VR doesn't really make sense to me for non-first person view games. And in practice, that's mostly real time games. Other than the Might & Magic & Wizardry series which haven't had any installments recently, I can't think of any turn-based first-person RPGs.

While not VR I frequently move the camera position so I can watch "the action" from over a key character's shoulder while they execute a spectacular move.
