Rapier -Light Weapon>?
Since when is a Rapier not a Light Weapon? I dont recall not being able to wield a Rapier and a Shortsword or Dagger?

It has never been a light weapon. I even checked the players handbook, even though i was sure about it already, because it wouldnt make any sense for it being a light weapon with a d8

had the same issue myself for a bit in %e they changed it to no longer be a light weapon same way they changed the morning star to only do peicing instead of both piercing and bludgeoning. Those were the two most broken weapons next to the scimitar that you could find in 3.5 high damage light weapon, duel damage light weapon, and a weapon that if built right could crit on a 15 or better.

Rapiers weren't light in 3.5e but they worked with weapon finesse and didn't get bonus strength damage from two handing. Since it wasn't light it got the full penalty for being used in the off hand when two weapon fighting, which is why it was often paired with a light weapon like a dagger or short sword. In 5e however, both weapons must be light for two weapon fighting unless you take the dual wielder feat.
