Is there randomness, replayability to it?
I played Divinity Original Sin and while it was a great game, there wasn't much replay value to it (only different dialog and such), is Solasta better in that aspect?

thanks

Via custom made campaigns, absolutely. Replaying the same campaigns? Personally, no (for me).

Main campaign is quite linear ( with some minor consequences). Lost Valley goes with faction choice and probably the same applies with Palace of Ice. Replayability comes from custom campaigns, where either homebrew or classic adventures are reiterated through Solasta assets. Go check the Workshop page to see what I mean.

No, this is a cRPG, that is how the genre is. Replayability comes from different characters and party setups. You may be looking for a different genre if that kind of design doesn't match your personal taste. It sounds like you're after a roguelike or an ARPG. Try looking up those genres and you'll probably find something that matches what you like.

FWIW, I have about 900 hours of playtime with Solasta but most of that is playing (FREE) fan-created modules. Is there much replayability with the original campaign? No, not really but it does not matter once you start exploring the Steam Workshop. There is significantly more replayability with the (official) "Lost Valley" campaign but it is the fan-created content that makes the game really shine.

Its the king of replayability due to the dungeon maker. The unfinished business mod works in perfect synergy with that too.

Yeah there's hundreds if not thousands of hours of replayability with custom campaigns that include quests systems, robust dialogue, skill checks, etc.

"CRPG" = Chinese RPG? "ARPG" = American RPG?

There is little if any randomness to it really. But as for replayability? Different class combinations can make for a near infinite number of different party setups so yeah, there is a LOT of replay capacity to it. Without even considering all the user designed adventures courtesy of the Dungeon Maker.

I find you can play the same campaigns over and over because you can change your party composition so much -- however its the user made campaigns and using the Campaign Maker tools that I love so much. The player made campaigns extend this game's depth quite a bit
