What am I missing?
The halfling males, I think it is, all look like chicks that have glued on facial hair. I don't think that any of the meshes for any of the races are fantastic, but we just live with it. I agree that very little time was invested in any of them, at least the outcome seems to indicate a lack of time and effort there.
Know what else has existed for decades.. the actual picture of what a Tiefling looks like when it first appears in the monsterous comp. for planescape.. an guess what.. she sure doesnt look like she has a perm. summon darkness spell on her chin..

Which is rather surprising, considering how many awfull creatures you meet in Planescape manual. Even humans pics were ugly
had to make my character black (no blue option btw) to hide some of it and it sill came out to look like a man lol....
The only thing I find with them is mostly a problem with the human race, and that's the eyes. They can be over starey.
