Thoughts on Bard?

I'm planning to play through the main campaign in preparation for the new DLC. I don't have Inner Strength yet but I'm tempted to buy it for the Bard. My only problem is fitting the bard into the usual party composition of Pally, Battle Cleric, Ranger, Wizard. Who among those would you replace with a Lore Bard, and why? Or is the cookie-cutter comp still the best?

Lore bards are very good, in tabletop they're arguably the best class in the game. Not quite as good in solasta because their negative inspiration works a little differently and not as many spells.

I'd replace wizard with bard. Lore bard can get the attack spells like fireball or wall of fire if need be (they can get spells from any class).

Replacing the Ranger would be another choice. Since Lore bards can choose from any spell any class as Dallas S pointed out. You could still get pass without a trace and spike growth along with something like spirit guardian. That way you could keep the flexibility of the Wizards spell casting.

The Lore Bard is pretty good in Solasta when you get a few levels under your belt. I had a fun time running a Cleric, Bard, Ranger, Barbarian party in the Lost Valley Campaign.

I found the bard took the place of a wizard pretty well, especially in the later levels. I appreciated the short rest heal bonus and inspiration.
