Demo?

Is there any chance of making a demo for this game? It looks interesting as someone who likes and plays DnD, but I'm hesitant to get it. Especially as it looks like certain races/classes are locked behind DLC.

There was a demo back in the Kickstarter days but it was very limited and a LOT has changed since then. It is extremely unlikely that a new/updated demo will ever be available because the next campaign/DLC is the last one and there are, literally, years worth of gameplay videos on YouTube for anyone interested.

Expect a sale just before "Palace of Ice" is released. The base game -- which is all you need if you join a multiplayer (co-op) game -- should have a sale price of around US$14; all DLCs the host has installed are available to all players in that game.

Wish list the game for a good sale. Watch videos on youtube or join the discord and see if someone will stream the game for you to see while they are playing - could be a good way to learn the game and get some questions answered.

The pre-game mission should be the demo. You learn all the buttons and don’t spoil any of the storyline. I bet there’s a way to limit it to only pregen characters too.

Doesn’t Steam and Xbox allow game returns/cancellation if you play for less than two hours and cancel in less that a day or two???

They do, but if you're buying the game off of Fanatical or something like that, the Steam return process isn't applicable. I wanted a demo too just to make sure it runs on my PC before I go buying it from Fanatical.

Why are you asking about it on Steam then? Maybe ask the devs directly without involving Steam if you won't buy it here anyway?

It's a Steam key.

To answer the OP...no. The devs have finished with this game, and moved on to other projects.
