What, exactly, does Natural Explorer DO

What it says on the tin. Does it affect anything on various tilesets? Does it change bonuses on map screens during overland travel? Literally the only thing Greenmage is good for is Goodberry, but trying to figure out what supposed benefits it and Ranger are getting from this "ability"

Bit late on the reply, but Greenmage says:
Natural Explorer: You benefit from the same advantages as a Ranger when in a forest environment

Ranger Natural Explorer says:
You are adept at living and traveling in a certain type of terrain [in this case, forest]

But I have no idea what that means from a mechanical perspective for this game

You get more food when forging and you are harder to ambush when traveling over your specified terrain. I don't know the exact numbers.
