I guess there is BG3 coming out soon if you have to have that in your D&D game. Although there is dialogue and cut scenes this game is more about combat where it does a pretty good job of implementing the 5E rules.

As much as I like the game and can enjoy a well-written romance in a game, I sort of cringe at the thought of a romance in Solasta. Let's just say I don't think that would play to the developer's strengths.

Imagine only buying a cRPG if it has romance.

I will never understand people looking for romance in a video game. Comes across as very sad. If you spent the amount of time looking for real romance than you do on a fake one, you might actually find a partner in rl.

On the fence about BG3. Origin characters can work if done well, given my experience with DOS2 I don't really care for how Larian has handled them. You can always go a blank slate or the so called dark urge path but there will still be times when the origin story calls for you to follow a path you might not of envisioned. With a blank slate you missed out on a lot of what the game had to offer in DOS2.

I don't mind romances if it isn't to in your face which with the newest trailer it might be the case here. As for Solasta I agree with the other that it doesn't really fit the game.

In no way, does it fit within the context of a 5E tactical combat simulator, which at its core, is what Solasta really is.

Sweet, unwarranted gamer toxicity. How about you dry your mouth up with cement and let people enjoy the games they want to play?

ppl like romance in games coz it tends to add more character dev and more immersion into the game if its done right
but with wanna be beastality in gaming these days and all the just f-me now romance plots good romance is hard to find if you ask me

see? I just made a comment about something coz i was thinking it and it pop into mind made sure it wasnt all that toxic or such and wa-la

oh sweet, a sanctimonious troll resurrecting dead threads, so they can tell someone else to shut up.

How about you dry your mouth up with cement and PLAY the game THE WAY IT WAS BUILT to play?

There, corrected that for ya.

Never really was interested in game romance much but a few exceptions, but in Solasta it could be actually cute for roleplay purposes, since you create all the characters for your party.

Far more likely the toxic gamer is projecting.

I mean, that's not really equal options. It's like advising fans of fantasy warfare to go and enlist in irl military) People play RPG-s to fulfill impossible dreams of inspiring Tolkien-style heroics and hot Salvatore-style seductions, to fight side by side with their centuries-old dwarven friend or please their magnificent succubus mistress. Not to compensate for lack of real plain violence or relationships. Sorry for necroposting, buying game now, so bumping into this and reacting also now)
