Lots of little choices in this game
I didn't get a reply in the Rogue thread, but now it's whether the level 4 monk should pick attribute points or a feat...

There's almost nothing online discussing it except one guide saying to pick 'feather fall' that almost sounds like it's trolling. How is that a top pick?

You get two attribute points, so you could raise something to get a bonus. However, some feats also raise attributes but only by one. It all kinds of depends on your rolls for stats and your plan for advancing your character.

I would say just do what you think sounds like the most fun and go with it. If you aren't on higher difficulties I think you will be fine just playing the game in whatever way you find enjoyable.

In my current Lost Valley playthrough, I didn't bring a rogue but I have a sorceror with lowlife background and a couple feats that compliment that path. It's not optimal but it's really fun.

In general I always take feats, at 4,8 and 12. That being said I build my stats at creation to allow for that 1 attribute point plus the feat feature. If you didn't do this then the 2 points in the required attribute could be useful, I would only really consider it though if the attribute was at an even number.

Really? Not even willing to just experiment for yourself?

Much of what you read about tabletop d&d also applies heregiven how closely Solasta follows the rules. Monks need dexterity and wisdom a lot for AC, attack, stunning strike DC. And there are not a ton of great/must have feats for monks. So most people suggest picking attribute points until you have both dex and wisdom at 20.

Go away.

I should say, this monk's role is the tank, which affects what to pick. There are some 'tank' feats.

There's enduring body, armor master, forest runner, hard to kill, the 'touch' feats, trip attack, and the 'creed' feats.

His attributes are STR 11, DEX 17, CON 19, INT 10, WIS 15, and CHA 9.

That fragile, eh? Fair enough, I should have guessed that to begin with.

My "tanky" Monk found the Cloak and Dagger feat (+2 AC) to be useful though he wields a pair of Light weapons, like Shortswords and Daggers, and not Unarmed or Gaunlets.

Oops, missed that one.

Another reasonable possible option.

I'm not sure what the point is to reducing sleep needed to 4 hours. At all, and even if there is some, the rest of the party still needs more?

It has to do with the ambush system when traveling. Someone who only needs 4 hours of sleep is much more likely to be awake if ambushed while in camped mode.

On armor master - should the monk be wearing no armor?

Thanks. I was thinking ambush was involved, makes sense.

Doesn't seem like a large benefit and some like the ambushes for xp?

I doesn't negate you from being ambushed it just makes it so the person who has the feat or the benefit from a race like elves will be more likely to be awake when the ambush starts.

On your armor master question a monk would have to be wearing armor to get the benefit. To me this negate the idea of a monk who uses dexterity along with dodge to increase their ability to survive direct combat, I found minimal benefit for a monk to take it. You could build for it I suppose just seems to be going against the class concept.
