Did they improve the character faces?
It's a lovely game, but what held me back from buying in the past (tried it on GamePass) was the awful faces—my whole party looked like they were sculpted from PlayDoh, hair and beards included.

Now that I look through some screenies, I get the impression that the faces look better. Did they receive a do-over?

Nothing really changed. Maybe your standards have slipped? Have you been drinking? When i've been drinking the 2/10 starts to look like a 10/10 after enough pints.

Fair enough! It's the spirits of the season!

I just wish hair and facial haird didn't looked like it's made out of cloth.

They improved them once, like right after launch, I think.

I never played early access, I have heard other who did say that TA's "improvement" made the faces worse. I think they might of even stated in an interview or a Q&A they regretted messing with them so I guess maybe they got gun shy fearing they would make them even worse.

Honestly it doesn't matter to me either way. The faces function.

Ah, the eternal character face question, ill-fated to be brought up forevermore. Any question regarding character faces can be answered in this way: The answer? NO. When? NEVER.

Looks like they did update them even more recently, cause they're slightly different than I recall previously. But whatever. They're still faces and they're not horrible to look at.

I would absolutely love to see the faces get an overhaul, in my opinion there is one usable Half Orc Male face, and all of the Dragonborn faces/skins look good, but the elves and humans look terrible.

What urks me most of all, is that there's also clipping and other visual errors on a number of faces.
Throughout my whole campaign I had to look at strange eyelids (only one of the two had a visual error), some form of missing section in the human female neck, and hair clipping through everything, it's a bit of a mess.

I just wish they would at least just tidy it up.

It's just such an esthetic mismatch, because the environments look absolutely stunning imo.

I just think of the characters as tabletop figurines that move - becomes far less of an issue then. :)

Same actually. I have this game on GOG. The characters will definitely not win any beauty pageants. lol

Please make the faces a bit more beautiful. :maddie:

Developers, I am begging you, I want to play this game so bad. :dwarven:

Then play it. Its a good game.

Not all characters in computer games need to be beautiful. Just treat it like real life, after all, there are a lot of ugly people out there.
