Transfer Xbox Save to Steam?

Ive been playing the base game on Xbox Gamepass for a while but I just bought the PC version on steam. Is there any way to grab my Xbox save and continue it on Steam.

Otherwise is The Lost Valley another new campaign for level 1 characters and not an expansion area for the base campaign? It wasn't entirely clear but I think its a whole new campaign for level 1-12...

LV is its separate campaign that takes you from level 1-12. I am not sure on the transfer of saves. Since it is technically just transferring data from one drive to the other it should theoretically be possible, that being said since you are going cross platform there is likely some format difference that would interfere. Similar to taking files from a MAC machine to a PC machine, it should be simple when I tried it five years ago it was frustrating due to decisions made in the architect of both machines.

I have never heard of a way of transferring files from a console to a PC. The 2 are different systems.

Didn’t really try this but it is theoretically possible. Download the game on a PC via gamepass and let it sync your saves then copy the saves over to the steam version.
