If you have an average of 1,25 fights per Long Rest then you are just taking advantage of a computer DM. A real DM (in a live game) would punish you for attempting that to the point of preventing your party from taking a Long Rest through repeated interruptions (like from "wandering" monsters), timed events (like scheduled patrols), and in-game time limits (like you must defeat the evil dragon before he eats his prisoners). You can play a single-player computer game any way you like, of course, but I recommend not trying that in a real game.
Pact of the Blade gains proficiency in Martial weapons.
One tactic I do recommend is to spread the party out. I was watching someone play earlier they insisted on keeping in the original box formation. Since they where surrounded they all rolled with disadvantage which drug the combat out a ridiculous amount.
I have built mine so he can get two strikes a turn with a two handed axe, he will be a force with some of the two handers you can craft even without using his spells. That plus the retribution strike they get makes him a good front line build.
With two dagger is potentially 2d4+2d6+dex since first level.
I do understand that it isn't possible due to license regulations, but man, does it suck.
The community mod might help with that issue once it is released for this new DLC. I haven't used it but I understand there is a lot of things from the PHB into the game.
Of course, mate. I'd never allow the party to long rest safely in the heart of the Dark Castle... multiple times. But it is what it is in Solasta. My warlock falls behind since they have only 2 spell slots.
Or a Bard if your Wizard is more of a blaster than a utility spell type.
