Reread what I said.Are there color coding differences between Minor, Major or Artifcats? No? Seems that is precisely what I said. DnD doesnt have them, i the same sense that Diablo, or Borderlands, or other looter games do. The reason is simple...DnD builds, are not centric on the gear found and equipped. A Diablo Javazon, is a specific build, premised upon certain ger. (In order to maximize the build anyway) DnD, doesn't have that same thing. A Paladin, is a Paladin, is a Paladin in DnD. Some variation of course, but not penalizing if you dont have specific gear. A D2 Hammerdin OTH, either finds the right gear, or he's crippled.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I guess. But IMO saying loot ratings are "missing" is kinda like complaining that World of Warcraft doesn't have damage limits and limit breaks. Maybe you're used to it, but that doesn't mean it would be appropriate here.
And I've been playing RPGs just as long if not longer, and it's my opinion that having colour coded rarity of items doesn't inherently improve quality of a game.
So who's opinion is right, mine or yours?
