Under-powered Barbarian
Just did a run-through of The Lost Valley with the (new) Barbarian sub-class. Found it to be disappointing in terms of a) actual damage that could be inflicted on others and b) damage received from others even after getting him up to Level 9. Trying out a Sorcerer now.

WHat do you expect?
you roll Barbarian and expect big numbers?? *chuckles*
Barbarian is just fine...
Using 'Path of Stone' as tank in my run (Marsh-halfling), can be up'ed to 28AC *yay* with only Barkskin and doesn't even wield a shield but Maul of Doom.
- unarmored (+4)
- dex (only +4)
- bracers (+2)
- barkskin (AC set to 16)
- haste (+2)

You could probably min/max....for greater justice. But mine is getting 50% damage while raging, heals 2xprof each round, does bonus damage and is a wicked thingie to watch.

Sorcerer is fun too, hopefully you know which spells to pick and don't come back complaining later. (hint: choose fire)

I've played a berserker barbarian up until 12th lvl, and in my opinion it's one of the stronger classes in Solasta. It can get very high AC, resistance to most common types of damage, advantage on every attack, extra damage from a critical (if you go half-orc, you get 2 extra dice on crit), and just tons of damage. On CotM, my barbarian easily dealt 100+ damage every turn in the later stages of the game.

Sorcerer is awesome, I usually prioritize twinning Haste on my melees, or greater invisibility on sorcerer and a melee. Taking the Powerful Cantrip feat is recommended - twinned firebolts can do a lot of work, and only cost 1 sorcery point

What?? Beserker Barb is utterly insane. Put a lightbringer, doomsword, or storm axe in his hands and watch the body count go sky high. He's just nuts. 3, sometimes 4 attacks per round if you haste him. All at advantage.

Something about the current Barbarian mix ust does not ring true. I think it is down to the baggy trousers

Note that, in Solasta, the Berserker Path allows a CON saving throw after Frenzying whereas the SRD (and PHB) version does not. With the official path if you Frenzy then you automatically gain a level of Exhaustion after your Rage ends. In other words, Tactical Adventures buffed the Berserker Path.
