Can't leave caer hyfryd, the blue rectangle at city entrance is no longer available
I've been enjoying the game thus far - however, after completing some quests, upon returning to caer hyfryd, I find that i can no longer leave the city. The original "leave area" square at city gates is no longer there. Help!

I had the same thing. Literally started all over. We are convinced its caused by the order we did some quests. As soon as you Save an NPC in town by killing the guards attacking her All exits to the city disappear.

Thanks, at least now I am aware it's a known issue.
Good thing I save often, only lost a couple of hours of play. Go back to a previous save and play without going into city.

I have the same problem, but I do not remember having encountered that what you have hidden. So I am not able to leave the town.

Press M to see the town map, you can click on the exit shortcut there.

Its not just killing the guards that causes it. I thought it was too, so redid the quest to get rid of the drunk and get rid of Sharpeyes. Didn't kill either, and still the blue rectangle disappears...

And its not even related to those quests... I just loaded all the way beck before I did any of those quests, to when I did the Garden Party quest for Orentis. When I got back to town, the blue rectangle was gone still... I will probably have to abandon that game and either start over, or wait til they fix it.

Yeah I got the same problem. Like this guy said. Fast travel to the exit and it should let you leave.

This happened to us. I think it was right after we came back from The Garden Party area.

Same issue. But have no mark for fast travel on map so i cant leave... also tried older save but problem remains.

This worked for me and I was able to continue, leave & return and leave again.
