the twin blade feat for rogue

does it work? i am using 2 short-swords and it never works, does it only work with daggers? cuz short swords are also light finesse

It only triggers if +3 AC would cause the attack to miss and you have a Reaction available.

I think it's bugged. It's never worked for me and I've tried both daggers and short swords. I think either it never works or there is a coding problem with its interaction with uncanny dodge. To be clear, in testing I've always elected to NOT use my reaction with uncanny dodge in the hopes that I could trigger twin blade, but I've never gotten twin blade to proc.

It's not bugged for me. It only triggers when +3 would turn a hit into a miss. See if you're being hit by 0, 1, 2, or 3 and it's still not working.

Also verify you're not using your reaction on other things like attacks of oppty.

There is something going on I am 90% sure. Raise shield doesn't work for me. Was testing so very sure to not have used my reaction - and yet was hit at 0 and 2 above the AC.

Wondering now if it has something to do with using a magical shield. Either way, not working as intended in my experience.

"Raise shield" as in cast the Shield spell as a Reaction? Also you mention a "magical shield." Does that mean that you are not dual-wielding at the time? If you mean cast the Shield spell do you have a free hand to cast it (or have you disabled that rule)?

I am thinking that you might be confusing Pathfinder with D&D 5e.

There's a "Raise shield" feat. As a reaction you gain +3 or something. It's only for ranged attacks though, so I'm wondering if he missed that part.

ok every combat round you have 4 actions, standard action( move and attack, disengage, etc), swife action, (the brown thing you have), free action( changing weapons and inventory only), and reaction.

you only have 1 of each, which mean you only have 1 reaction.

the twin blade feat is not good on rouge, because when you get attacked you use you reaction to use twin blade so you get +3 ac on that 1 attack only.

you as a rouge already have a evade reaction that reduce damage by 50% that use your reaction too.

so if you use twin blade to get +3 ac you can't use your own evade for 50% damage reduction.

of coruse you can have both but you should think about instead in ampiditous feat, i have a rouge too, and i duel with him,now in late game i am getting a bunch of magical items that just change my str to 19 or 21 or 23, i could just us str to duel wield instead of dex.
