Stuck at end of Darkcastle quest

Hello
I tried either killing or bluffing the master. Either way I get the gem but my quest progress does not change...
Also I met a guy with wolf and in french version I have only my character questions, not the guy answers. Either in game or in journal. Did I miss something ? I got quest bones and no idea what to do...
Any way to end the quest ? No tasks left on it :(

I switched to english and got the guy dialog (I had saved before the castle luckily)
Also I realized this time the first step 'follow the crownbearer intuition 'ticked'' while in my saves after fighting or bluffing markath it did not even tick.

Also I did no try the main gate and went through the pipe directly. Could it have bugged the quest too ?

I guess I'd better redo it whole :(

I actually did the same thing and im trying to find a solution to solve the quest. I cant get past the find a way in. because i didnt got to the gate yet.

I've just started another thread with the same issue. - My quest still shows as the same status when I began the quest even though I have the gem.

Yeah, this one is confusing. You get the next quest when you enter the courtyard. At least, i got it. I think i made three full circles looking for the "gem". And then suddenly when i entered the courtyard the quest finished. From the master's room, the small gate brings you to the gates, from there, just open them and enter the yard.

Did you try teleporting directly back to the town with the portal in the solar? I also never went to the courtyard but had no problem with the quest log (though I didnt notice exactly if log got updated before or after teleporting).

First attempt, I teleported back to town after finishing, and the quest never updated, nor did the new gem location show on the map (monastery?) - I even did a sidequest, hoping it would help, but nothing happened.

I tried reloading, and this time returned to the courtyard, but it never triggered the completion. - Crazy thing is, now I can do nothing. - No sidequests, no main quest, with just the first scavenger one showing as incomplete and the main quest telling me to find the necromancy gem in the dark castle (which I already have in the crown, and the Steam achievement has activated!) Argh!

You have to follow the quest order, you can bypass the countryard and the maze using a few tactics and spells. That will bug the game.

Also at a specific part a character will require you to recover a item from a queen, if you choose to keep the item you will have to find a shortcut to the boss fight because the main quests will be gliched.

Ah, I went through the courtyard, the castle and the maze, but negotiated my way past the Vampire lady, and then intimidated the confused old dude into giving me the gem. - Quest remains stuck.

I'm now going back for a third time. - I never recovered any items from Askha, or whatever it is she's called, so maybe it's something in that room I'm missing? - I have the necromancy gem, and successfully went through the cutscene where they all stand around it, one character suggesting we sold it and bought a palace.

Any updates on this bug? Do you have to kill Ashka?

Not played the game for some weeks, but a bug release came out not long after my post, but I had to jump back to a save prior to visiting the location for it to work properly, as I remember. So much additional stuff that'd been missing came up that it wasn't much of a chore to run through it all again.

I'm playing the game at the end of 2024. I am STILL encountering this bug MANY years later. I'm stuck at "find another way in" even though I've already obtained the Gem.
