There is also nothing to click once the symbol lights up. Would be difficult to do with the last sybol where you need 5 people, anyway.
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
1st move. fill 5 6 8 9
2nd move. move the unused char to 2 and remove the char from 8
3rd move. move 2 to 4
4th move. move 9 to 8
5th move. move 5 to 2
6th move. place the unused char on 1.
(from memory but i think that is the solution)
It didn't give a hint anywhere that you only are allowed to add/remove a single one. I always moved the same 4 guys around and only added the 5th for the last symbol. That obviously did not work.
But when I did it exactly as you described, the second symbol lit up without the first going dark, same for the further ones.
Finally got the door open now.
The riddle is good, just read the book that you find on the wall and move 1 character for each new configuration. You will need a 5th character, which is why Anton joined you, to finish the configuration and puzzle.
