Edit: to the Tower which is not in the right position.
The camera can be a challenge to pan enough to see the blue box above you.
One solution is to use Levitate on the person with Misty Step. That's how I did it originally.
The new vendor at Caer Lem (in the ruined tower where you find the four surviving garrison members) also sells a Potion of Fly, which you can use to get up to the tower.
when first cast, levitate doesn't position a character high enough, so you'll need to use the tool to get them within range for the misty step spell. I put my caster right next to the destination, five feet and even with it, then used misty step.
I guess I will learn the spell :)
Fly + Misty Step isn't getting to the ledge though.
I don't see any controls to adjust altitude.
I guess i've been unlucky this time, when i played through this quest in Early Access i had some sort of scroll, maybe like a teleport or something.. i don't remember. But this play through, i didn't find a FLY potion and had to buy it.
In the ruins are 2 chests before the first fight. The 2nd one always contains about 200-400 gold, a gem, and possibly some recipes and/or scrolls. A nice chest but nothing too special. However the first chest(a dead body) always contain one +1 weapon/armor and one prime weapon/armor with it being weighted towards being a weapon. Furthermore the game does not decided the specifics of this loot until you enter the ruins for the first time.
So all you do is have your 3 characters without flight in the blue entrance zone and have your one character with flight flying one spot next to the blue entrance zone. Save it there and then you can quickly move him one spot over into the zone and it is at this time it will decided what +1 and prime weapon/armor it is so you just rush your flier to that dead body and if it is not what you want just load again. This way you can get that prime longsword, chain shirt, plate armor, or even +1 plate armor you have been looking for.
