What's the best way to wake up sleeping companions?
It seems like they never wake up unless they get, and I am afraid they will die against stronger foes?

The only other way i know of is to use your main action to wake them up. Just click on them.

Ah, thanks!

Some use a light damage Area of effect spell, gets everyone awake at once but they take damage so it would depend on the fight and party make up.

For me, it's kind of situational. If everyone, or 3 of the 4, are sleeping the party tends to be surrounded. If the character awake is a wizard or rogue, you can wake a character and then disengage or misty step to get out of that situation and start spreading out the enemy.

Which one in particular?

So far I've not noticed more than 2 asleep at a time; so I am wondering if just manually waking them up with 2 remaining awake folks is not most efficient.

Ah, so more than 2 can be asleep at a time. I've not encountered that yet.

In this case, would the Feat that reduces your sleep time help?

If you raise the difficulty the monsters start targeting your downed, unconscious and sleeping members. In the case of surprise sleeping battles it's makes them way easier because the enemies don't gank your only awake member. They attack sleepers waking them up for you so you need to waste less actions clicking your own team and you start fighting, casting or moving way sooner. I think this behavior starts at scavenger mode.

You can use fireball if you're bored and feel like pranking them.

You cast burning hands in a radius around you instead of in a cone that one works well, or I guess fireball although everyone would be half dead but awake ;-)

Thunderwave.

I have tried that but sometimes if there is stuff around you it has a funky pattern that missed people it appears it should hit.

My rogue slept through a whole fight one time. Swords and spells flying around right next to her and she kept sleeping.

Probably wondered in the morning about the corpses laying around.

Wake up the useful dudes & then leave one asleep as a blocker, usually two or three of them will spend their turn attacking that one. Once their dead the monsters will have to run around the fireplace to get to someone else. Cast either heal or raise dead or whatever on them and they are now awake and away from the battle with no-one attacking them.

Don't fear death. In D&D death can be a useful tactic!

Take a short rest. Everyone will wake up.

Drop a fireball on everyone
