Doesn't really explain WHY the limit of 3, but I guess it's the same reason you can only have 1 magic ring per hand.
It may not please you but as a reminder Solasta IS a D&D 5e and in that way there are much more people that would be unpleased if TA remove attunement from Solasta than the opposite.

Yeah it's quite a common homebrew rule.
I think that would be a good idea to add this in difficulty settings.

It does explain quite a bit. Basically your forming a bond with the item is why it takes a short rest. It's a rule in D&D 5th ed Basic rule set. Home brew games can do what ever the GM wants, where as computer games don't have that ability.
