Report a translation problem
The rest depend on the class and the level they are at. If you are a full spellcaster, like a wizard, you will always get to pick at least spells, but a fighter for example chooses nothing at level 2, subclass at 3 and attribute/feats at 4.
You can only level up after a long rest.
You can see what each class/subclass will get at the different levels by choosing the higher levels button, it lays it all out what you get and when. It sounds like she is confused because except for two levels for the majority there is no points to distribute. You can get stat adjustments through spells, potions and items to cover the rest of the levels.
