I gave in ...
I gave in about a month ago after the vampire fight where it automatically reverts to taking place at night and when you injure them they run away quicker than you can chase .. nonsense fight. Has it been fixed?

(Kept it vague to avoid spoilers)

Fixed? What needed fixing?

Fixed how?

Nope because its really easy to beat with a Cleric Daylight spell.

Especially when they are running in and out of it like that they kill themselves for you.

no it has not been changed...you need to get better in your tactics..watch some play throughs so you can see how other folks get it done. You are apparently, doing something inherently *wrong*

Even with cleric sunlight and a pally, that was easily the hardest fight in the game.

Two light cantrips on the weapons of my cleric and paladin was enough to tip the encounter in my favour every time.

That could be the problem - what to do without a paladin or cleric in the group?

Use torches. Use Flaming Sphere. Use anything that makes light.

I think Heddlon Surespell sells a Scroll of Daylight, but you have to have a Living Legend status to buy it.
EDIT: Maddy Greenisle has the crafting recipe if you have Brotherhood status.

Wall of Fire. :)

I didn't have so much trouble with this particular battle, though my efforts to prep for the battle before it started were not entirely successful. One thing I did notice though is that at times it seemed like the main enemy was specifically concentrating on my Sun Cleric who kept making the world bright, first with a Channel Divinity and then with a spell. And for a bit he did manage to drop my cleric. One thing that people may be overlooking, is that for enemies that like to dash in, attack, and then move away, the Ready Action can be very useful.

That is the only fight that has required me to reload thus far. I threw Daylight, Light, and a bunch of Sacred Flame (and my Paladin flame ability). The vampire's AI has it run in and out of the Daylight, thus healing all damage back to full each turn. It's not hard, just annoying. I sent characters to block him in and keep him in the Daylight sphere and then it got real easy.

If you don't have Daylight, see what you can do to add light, fire, or radiant damage. If you have none of those, I don't think the fight will go well for you. Fire arrows?

Spirit guardians. Great for anything that hits and runs. Double up by casting one with a cleric and one with the sword.

slow helps to keep them in range.

It is too bad that they have only the limited license; if you don't have the options listed in the real 5e game it gets harder for martial classes to be useful. Without feats and the full range of fighting styles, martial classes have a bit of a tough time in Solasta, not gonna lie.

OP, do keep trying. It's a GREAT game provided you have a caster or two. If you don't and you're frustrated, it might be worth re-rolling, I hate to say.
