i have np Solasta dont have the budget compare bg3 np and add more feature down the roads , but where i have a issue ,is where this game priorities is budget , this game like more to put money on a streamer voice for a npc compare on the missing race and class from the player hand book :( , idk just remove other race and class and make all your npc with streamer voice , see how this is logic :( , compare to have a nice cake solasta go for the little cake with big topping , this is disappointing , he buy and play crpg for the gameplay race and class not for earring streamer voice , this is my opinion thank you

I think you don't have any clear idea how much the DnD 5E licencing cost.
It's a big price to be allowed to use the 5e PHB licenced content.
The devs adapted the free version of 5e : the SRD.
That's why you dont have all the races, classes, feats of the 5e PHB.
Everything else is their own version / adaptation / creation.
... And I think they've been pretty good about that.

I found the voice acting essentially funny, it reminded me of some good tabletop moments.

If you want something closer to what the PHB offer, you should look at what is available on the Nexus, there are modders who recreated some classes and feats "without asking Wotc".

If you want only an official adaptation of the 5e PHB character options, with AAA budget, you should wait for Baldur's Gate 3.

Finally, I don't find your message very respectful of the dev's work.
Maybe I'm wrong and misunderstanding your tone, but perhaps you should reformulate your post, with manners.

not sure what you try to bait here saying i`m not respectful , also to find excuse about the licencing cost ? this is already pay , what i`m saying is 110% respectfull , all i`m saying is the choice they make to spend money on a streamer vs to put money on the class or race , this have nothing to do with the licencing cost but more make the wrong choice with the money they have . so many player ask for half-orc and this game already have elf , what is the no sense to have a half elf after , and to put so much money on a steamer voice , he buy game for class race and gameplay no streamer voice , this is my respectfull opinion , have a nice day peace

You did not understood or read my message : You dont know the legal difference with the 5e SRD and the 5e PHB.

They cant add every race, it's copyright infringement.
They cant add every class / feat / etc, same problem.

Why not just say, you would like Half-orcs in the game and skip trying to come up with reasons why to justify it.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but do you not enter a table top game getting info about changes that DM sets for their setting?

I mean you get to read about the game, watch reviews online and such. It isn't unheard of to be limited in a campaign on you choices for race/class. Hell some DM's won't even use alternate feat rules instead of stat gains at various levels. Not to mention, its is absurdly expensive to buy the licences for the PHB or any of the other modules. Which I might add each module is separate and requires its own licence. That is why places like Roll20 and such force you as a DM at least to repurchase all those modules even if you own a book, unless you happen to get a book that had a supported key for that sight.

I'm trying to not get to far off track though. Appreciate that which you are given, and that which they can add to it freely of their own volition. It's not easy to create new classes without directly coping them. Takes huge amount of play testing to balance them. Not to mention, It is nice to see some adaptations and new classes to play.

Myself I can't thank the creators enough. This is the second game/platform I've supported like this. The other is Shard Tabletop. Who knows, maybe these Dev's could spin a deal with Kobold Press like Shard did, and gain some powerful additional content for the future!

1- this game is base on e5
2- this game have race 2- the game lack race from e5 np
3- this game have class 3- the game lack class from e5 np

i understand some option missing because the cost of development

where i have issue to understand is removing some option to a game for the cost of a streamer voice, where most review are agree the voice acting in this game is very average ,

i`m just saying player buy gamne for having option race class more skill and action more map ect .... not for a streamer voice in my opinion this cost to the game a race and a nice class to a game is already lacking in this departement , i want to buy this game sadly the strong melee race and class missing for me , dragonborn or half orc barbarain ,

Its not just cost of development.
You keep missunderstanding.

Its built on the licence free part of dnd 5e, the SRD. (its very bare bones).

If they wanted to use any of the other content in the 5e books they would have to licence dnd 5e from wizards of the coast, and being a really big IP it would have cost a lot more then what the studio could afford.

Even in SRD there are 12 classes, not many subclasses but some, and 9 races, plus some sub races.

i do understand the OP concern, I started realize when some famed youtubers did a joint interview of Larian, the voice acting was put on the table, with the concern of how hard it is for youtubers to manage many text and many different characters without voice acting.

It's very weird that a so specific players category influence so heavily games designs. But as usual it's players fault, such specific players have a huge infuence on many players for many type of games. Moreover games economical impact is also a lot through views, not just plays, even if only for a few type of games.

The good point is it seems English vocal acting with a fairly good quality has costs dropping down fast. The very negative is for players like me that don't take much profit from Vocal acting when in English, this evolution is also leading to games with no voice acting but English.

Do I reproach this choice to this game, no, even if I need read the text translated, the special party design with party talk and dialog works better with vocal acting even for me.

YU may not understand the desire for the voice acting and the budget for that component. *I* on the other hand, very much APPRECIATE the voice acting AND the fact that it is "average". Makes it sound JUST LIKE, my old table top days. See, none of the guys/gals we gamed with, were professional actors. SO our roleplay, probably was "pretty average".

player are English, French German Chinese Brazil , so to bring only 1 npc or character with a Premium $$$ english voice to the cost of other class race or gameplay option , this Premium$$$ option is a bit a waste to me compare to have a normal npc voice with a class or race or more game feature , will be overall so much better for the global player base , for me right now this game suffer to dont have a barbarian half orc , a real fast dps brute thank you
