BUG : Lair of Filth quest doesn't complete!!!

During the first mission - before entering the fort I entered the Goblin cave and wiped out all the goblins and cleared the loot. After completing the first main Mission and returning to town : I got a quest "Lair of Filth" with the description "Did the soldiers in the Caer Lem outpost know of this Goblin hideout?...".

Looked odd I need to go back to the outpost but I did only to find out the caves were naturally empty in my first run and the quest never updates.

It just looks like Bad Sequencing of quests to "complete" this. You get a SECOND quest line later in the game to find some artifacts in the same Goblin Caves. You will need to do another Battle against some large humanoids, wargs and you guessed it... Goblins. Completing this quest line ALSO completes the Lair of Filth!!

Totally Bonkers that Lair of filth shows up as an independent questline in the beginning.

The little quest item is easy to miss. It's on a little sign or loom, sort of near the entrance. It's vertical and in a depressed area, so the little glowing thing on the ground is kind of hidden. Go back and play around with the camera angles. As you walk in, it would be the first place goblins could get cover straight ahead, in a little square lowered area.

i think you may be confusing with some other quest. This quest has been bugged since early beta it looks like. People have been getting this same issue since 2020. Devs just haven't paid attention to it. Sucks but I suppose some level of roughness is to be expected from an indie game.

Sorry to hear it didn’t complete for you. I never played EA but completed that quest probably 15 times in live and never had an issue. Guess it’s random.

Definitely an issue running on for a year now. How does one get in touch with devs (or do they read these forums?). I dont mind sending my save game to help fix/polish this.

Maybe I'm just being that guy, but this post is awfully sketchy. Not only is this not Myzzrym, the dev that usually posts here, but they always request that the save files be emailed and not DMed on Discord.

Thanks! Sent you the save game. You'll see the bugged Goblin Cave quest listed in the secondary quests.

Another Workaround: If you select "Lair of Filth" as your Tracked Quest BEFORE going in, it seems to complete. Tested solo and multiplayer. On Multiplayer only 1 player needs to have it tracked.
