Stack all damage-related buffs as possible before the fight. For instance, I had the 27 Strength potion on the Paladin, as well as poison on his weapon (Lightbringer greatsword, which does additional radiant damage). He buffed himself with Branding Smite, and he did massive damage on his turn. I think Razan was like halfway down or more after the Paladin went. The same with every character; they were all optimized for DPS and unloaded on Razan. In fact, I think it only took 3 characters, and the 4th character attacked another target.
Don't forget to turn undead too. Once the adds are dead your guys will be bloodied, but probably able to shelter together inside the Daylight to kill the bastard. He will have to fly in to attack and then jump on him. Resist following targets out of your defense zone. Stay illuminated and stay alive. Also- if you are having real problems with this game consider the protection shield dwarf fighter archtype they have. It's ridiculously op when it comes to preventing party damage. Your mage and cleric should be able to counterspell the boss's legendary casts a good deal. Also use the shield spell to just avoid hits outright. Good luck.

very professional advice
I've tried that and it works brilliantly for some time, however as soon as Razan casts that darkness spell it seems to negate the effects of daylight and Guardian Spirit almost totally.
Yep, I'd reached that conclusion sort of. Does that mean that when they are all dead his regen is gone?
I've tried that, it doesn't seem to work, I've still got that debuff on me wherever I go from what I've seen so far. I've tried to relocate them recast Daylight, but it don't seem to do the job.
I haven't actually got the counter spell yet, I know I probably should have, but like how many times would you need to cast this to be effective? Every turn? Shield I do have, I haven't be using that, could try it out.
Couple of other questions:
1. I'm L6 close to L7 right now, can I just come back for this after a level or two or do I need to do it now for the story?
2. I seem to have had a bit more success staying put in the pit by the coffin. Do you guys recommend staying there or staying up top and going mobile?
Don't get too frustrated. This is probably one of the top two fights of the game so far for me and it took me maybe five times to figure out. I may even have restored and done some side quests first to get one more level in before taking him on. I seem to recall my wizard having her enhanced fireball seemed to help a lot against his minions. Keep the faith man. You'll kill the guy. Oh, and it can be skipped while you power up and come back to my recollection.
Vampires are useless attacking you in lighted areas, seeing as they get disadvantage from it. Just like your sun spell, darkness cant cover every area. Move to lit sconces or recast your sun to a different area if need be. He's easy. Don't be a Razancan, be a Razancant!
I assume so; the 1st fight isn't even a "fight."
