Goblin Cave
I returned to Caer Laem and cleared out the goblin cave, which I ignored the first time. How do I get the quest to finish? It still shows as uncompleted with "0/3" next to it, it's not clear what that's supposed to be counting. I'm pretty sure I did everything you can do there, I did a couple extra cycles around and didn't find anything hidden or anything like that.

The quest cleared to me after killing the goblins, and just that. If you really killed everything there, maybe there is a bug when you trigger that later..

The cave is small and besides having 2 barrels to loot, there's nothing except those goblins to clear.
So I would guess that by clearing it later rather than sooner, the journal bugs and does not update.
Since the cave is almost impossible to miss, I would presume that the devs forgot to code the journal to update itself when you finish the cave after the events at Caer Lerm.

You should post this wherever you can post bugs.

Okay, I was leaning in that direction - i.e. that the problem was my triggering it relatively late, be it due to a bug or an intentional design thing where the game is like "hahaha no, you're too high-level for that to count now" (I was 3rd level and took almost no damage, that was partly because of good use of cover but I probably could have just charged them and been fine).

I found and cleared the cave directly when I arrived at Caer Lem, but the quest didn't finish. If it really is a bug, it seems that it doesn't matter which lvl you have.

Did you grab the side-quest from the Scavengers Board that tells you to go back to the goblin cave?

They both use the same location, so it may have bugged out.
If you look at the dates, this is a very old thread. At the time I started it, the scavenger board wasn't even implemented yet.
