guys carefuly monitor your GPU
the game is very unoptimized even in 1280x720 on low setting the game ask for100% of my gpu(1060 6gb)

the HEAT is real.

Running Solasta w/ Ultra settings simultaneously with Raid: Shadow Legends, jumping back and forth to Chrome and Steam and my 1080 hasn't gone above 60 degrees. Not sure why you're having temp issues.

You want your GPU to be as close to 100% usage as possible. It means you’re getting the full use of it.

If you’re playing a game and only using 50% GPU you’re either playing aN old game, like BG2, you have the graphics lower than your GPU can handle, or you’re bottle necked somewhere. Suppose for this EA it could be on the games end, but 100% isn’t alarming on its own...

You have no idea what you're talking about.

no you don't know what you are talking about. The game, as it looks now, should not be using 100% of your GPU. I can run skyrim or say satisfactory, or most modern games at 1080p with my nvidia 3060ti and not max my gpu. Those games look amazing at 1080 max settings and don't use 100% of my gpu. This game looks like it came from 2010 and should not be maxing a 3060ti in any way shape or form. I got skyrim running in 4k with 4k textures and doesn't max my gpu. You do not know what you are talking about.

The way this game looks...skyrim looks 10x better, is much older, and runs MUCH better. This game, the way it looks, should not be using 100% of my 3060ti in any way shape or form. This game is horribly optimized.

Yeah my system sounded like a chainsaw when I booted it up first time, I went into Nvidia settings and force capped this game at 60FPS (there's no way to cap it in game). That solved my issue, my system has been running as normal ever since.

Low settings will not prevent your GPU usage if you don't cap frame rate.

High settings, around 60 fps, 100% GPU usage.
Low settings, around 300 fps, 100% GPU usage.

Now, if you use afterburner plus rivatuner and set the max FPS of the game to 20, with low settings, I doubt your GPU usage will be more than 60%.

There is also an option to cap your FPS to 30 in game. That should help without third party softwares.

Anyway, people saying to you that 100% GPU usage is not a problem are spot on, they are absolutely right.

A bad optimized game would be using 30% of your GPU while the FPS would still suck. It means the game would not be using your GPU potency in order to increase your FPS.

this is wrong completely. if you can run skyrim in 4k textures on a 3060ti and not max your gpu but run this game and it is in high settings and using my 3060ti to the max then the game is horribly optimized. It is doing something wrong. I have 60fps cap via nvidia control panel and it still runs the gpu 100%. This is not good. a badly optimized game will run your gpu 100% even though it looks like the game came from 2010 which is exactly what is happening now. Skyrim will have countless shapes on screen with textures and this game has little to none and still runs your gpu 100%. You are incorrect. So are the others. If the game looked like crysis then yes I would say it fits the amount of gpu usage. Skyrim looks infinitely better, is much older game, and solasta runs the gpu harder so something is optimized.

Mine is only useing 60% but im running a 2070 so could just be not very opt for your card as it if its just the normal 1060 its pretty old now
Duluth 2021 年 5 月 27 日 下午 3:06
I mine ethereum with my card so it is always at 100%. There is no problem with that unless you have airflow problems.

This may be the solution. Thanks man.

No worries dude, hope it helps others. I noticed there might be a bit of an issue when my FPS was going between 140 and 300+ on my 60FPS monitor. Put a stop to that real quick. :P
Qoojo 2021 年 5 月 27 日 下午 3:25
So is that pc a laptop? If so, laptops have issues dissipating heat. Not a game issue. It's a hardware issue.

I had the issue with World of warcraft, installing MSI Afterburner helped a lot (even when my card is a Geforce)

It's Unity...Indie games usually run like crap on this engine. I heard, it's hard to optimize games on it.

Your comparison to Skyrim is not fair, though. Skyrim was made by 100+ professionals with like 100 times bigger budget, on the Engine they worked since 2002. Solasta was made by 10-20 inexperienced devs.

Cap your FPS to 60 (or even 30; this is not action game) and give Solasta a chance.

Skyrim is capped to 60 fps (and the physics break if you try to run it at anything higher), that's why you'll never see 100% usage with a modern GPU.

If you're not CPU bottlenecked and don't set an fps cap (or turn on VSync), GPU usage is going to be 100% in any game. I can make you a spinning cube, and that'll use 100% of your GPU (and probably run at 10k fps).

even on low setting my gpu goes to 100% and 95C
If that temp reading is correct, you have a severe problem with your cooling or you need to repaste your GPU (thermal paste degrades with time).

I could respond, but so many people are explaining that there's really no need.
